Finnish prosecutors have decided to appeal the Patria case

Finnish prosecutors, state prosecutor Jukka Rappe and district prosecutor Timo Kokkomäki have decided to appeal in a bribery case connected to sale of armoured vehicles to the Republic of Slovenia by Finnish state-owned defence industry group Patria. District Court of Kanta-Häme dismissed 30.1.2014 charges for aggravated bribery against former CEOs of Finnish Patria Oyj and its affiliate Patria Vehicles Oy as well as three other employees of the Patria Group.

From the date of the District Court's ruling the prosecutors have 30 days to file their petition of appeal.

After the filing of the appeal, the Office of Prosecutor General will inform the media about the matters at issue in the appeal.
